Looks like I spoke to soon on Friday when I forecast the end of decent free giveaways in national newspapers.

The News of the World launched a brilliant new promotion on Sunday ... the entire first and second series of Life On Mars for NOWT!

I missed both when they were on the telly and was considering buying the first series. Now I don't have to so well done to the News of the Screws.

I have a funny feeling one or two regional daily titles will also be running not-to-be-missed promotions ahead of Valentine's Day.
