Scoop6 and other dodgy bets

FA Cup weekend and the third round is always likely to provide a shock or two. As it happens there were literally only two shocks this time last year - Forest beating Charlton and Swansea beating Sheffield United.

I reckon Sheffield United could go full circle this year and turn into the giant killers by beating Bolton at the Reebok. Decent price at 11/2 with Tote.
Crystal Palace (7/2), Hereford (4/1) and Peterboro (7/2) could all cause upsets.

I've stuck £1 on them all winning at 340/1. That would make for a good start to 2008.

Elsewhere, St Mirren and Hibs to draw and Sheffield United to win 18/1
Portsmouth, Boro, Birmingham, Swindon and East Fife 18/1
Carlisle, Leeds, Rochdale, Inverness, Hamilton, Blackburn, Brighton, Wolves, 11/1

Laursen first/last scorer for Aston Villa tonight is a huge 40/1
HT Villa, FT Man U might also be worth a look.

Sheffield United come up trumps as predicted by Hibs lose to St Mirren.
Birmingham cost me in 5-fold and Rochdale, Hamilton, Blackburn (4-1 at home to Coventry??????) and Brighton all rotten.
0-3 - business as usual then. Boooooooooooo
